my 18th birthday.
i’m supposed to be happy right? it’s supposed to be a big deal right?
honestly i’m just sad. there’s a few people and memories that genuinely make me happy. i dont know where my life is going anymore. i’m somewhat optimistic for the future. for college. all i wanted to say is that turning 18 isn’t going to be very exciting, i hate how everyone keeps asking me how it feels to be “legal”. i really just want to tell them. i want to say it feels horrible. i wish i had done more, i wish i had been a different person. i hate our society thinks that it’s such a big deal to turn 18 because for me age is void. it’s about who you are. i’m truly realizing it’s the life in your years not the years in your life that make you who you are.
